Dear Ex-Lover
I hope you will be able to make time on your busy
schedule to read this letter. When you do please make
sure that you sit down and you are alone. I would hate
for someone to see you in those mixed emotions when
you read this. Please know that I'm not writing this
letter to hurt you but I'm writing this because I want us
to make peace with the past.
When we drifted from each other, I prayed to God
begging him to make things work, to help us survive the
rough phase . But I guess my prayers weren't strong
enough to save our relationship. There were so many
questions that always lingered my mind : Was I not
good enough for you? Did I do something wrong? Is my
love too much for you? You don't love me anymore?
What happened to "I love you to the moon and back"
love we had? What happend to " This has become a
story of our lives, I leave and come back but I will
NEVER leave you" or you never meant those words?
What more could I have done for you so that you can
love me again? I used to cry more than I breathe
because I loved you so much. Tears came every time I
thought about you, about us. Days, months and years
passed and one night it all just stopped. I couldn't keep
on beating myself up just because you couldn't see my
value. Yes you chose other people over me and Lord
knows how painful it was for me to be your least priority
while you were my first priority. There was nothing I
could have done about that. It was indeed painful more
than I could ever put into words. But I learned that some
people are born to give more love than they will ever get
back in return. I guess I am one of them.
I can't deny that my soul shatters every time I'm
reminded of you. But I'm slowly learning to stop. I have
loved you, maybe I still do but the pain has to stop. It is
clear now that the best for you did not include me and
I've made peace with that.
In this letter I would also like to include that someone
special has found me. SHe has found also a way of
making me smile again.
Whereever you are I hope you are happy and if you are
not I hope you find happiness. Please take good care of
yourself.
